The Blacker the Berry the Sweeter the Juice

Physical affection has not traditionally been part of the Protestant culture, which, according to E. Kuehnelt-Leddihn, is a fundamentally anti-erotic culture. The Catholic culture, on the other hand, is a more passionate and erotic one, in which displays of affection is the norm.

It is my intention, within the scope of both cultures, to make a connection between the relationship of one's skin colour and the intensity of one's sex life. My thesis: The more sexual the culture, the darker the people's skin. Conversely, the more prudent the culture, the lighter the people's skin.

This statement obviously deserves an explanation: (1) in our civilization, light skin has been associated with the Protestant culture (Nordic, German, English, American, etc.), and darker skin with the catholic culture (Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, Argentine, etc.). (2) I do not intend to claim that the colour of one's skin is solely dependent on the intensity of one's sexuality. I am simply proposing that the intensity of one's sex life may influence the colour of one's complexion. I believe sexual passion is a factor, among many others that are more obvious in nature, like climate and diet, but nonetheless a factor. (3) My thesis could also be understood from an evolutionary point of view, in that the skin colour of a certain group's culture has adapted itself to the intensity of that culture's sexuality. Finally, let me define sexual intensity: emotionality, sexual curiosity and enthusiasm, passion, and desire of physical contact.

A piece of evidence that may help prove my thesis is the fact that a man whose cultural values embodies intensely physical sexual intercourse would, no doubt, enjoy having sex with these girls. It would not be a stretch to predict that in little time, the girl would, perhaps, have hickeys and bruises all over. The following day, she would not be able to go out in public. Life would be an embarrassing nightmare for a woman with this kind of fair skin if she were to have an intense sex life.

Consider now the same scenario, but this time with one of these women. Take note of the shade of their skin. No possible squeeze, sucking, or physical play could inflict any visible black-and-blue marks. Their skin is prepared, either to absorb the shock, or to camouflage it. Thus, the conclusion that skin can adapt itself, by darkening its shade, to an increasingly intense sexual culture.
