A França é o pais mais laico do mundo, mas não o continuará a ser por muito mais tempo. O tsunami Sarkozy, segundo o Le Monde de hoje, já deu instruções à ministra Michèle Alliot-Marie para rever a Lei de 1905, que regulamenta a separação entre a Igreja e o Estado.Sarkozy quer acabar com o laicismo sectário (sic) que vigora em França e implementar o que designa por laicismo positivo. Deste modo o Estado Francês poderá passar a financiar directamente certos grupos religiosos e terminar com a dependência (subserviência?) que alguns destes grupos desenvolveram em relação a países estrangeiros. Mas o melhor é mesmo lerem o artigo...
Parece, segundo o Le Monde, que se tratará de um expediente utilitarista para lidar com o islamismo militante. Não deixa, contudo, de ser uma medida muito problemática.
