English

English is the language of science and the language of business - and this is not an accident. The reason is that it is a precise, concise language. Portuguese has other advantages, but none of those. As compared to English it takes 30% to 40% more words in Portuguese to express the same idea and the meaning of each word has a much wider variance. It is not easy to mistaken people in English - certainly, not so easy at it is in Portuguese - and this is one of the reasons why the British are the champions of democracy. Would you imagine Professor Bronze writing these convoluted sentences in English? He would be laughable whereas, writing in Portuguese, he is a Professor.
