I have been recently pressured by several people I esteem highly to write my posts in Portuguese. Their argument is that I would have more readers.

Let me state frankly that I am not sensitive to this argument. I am persuaded that the additional readers my posts would attract as a result of my writing in Portuguese rather than English would not stay for long because they would not understand what I am talking about anyway. Thus, in my view, writing in Portuguese or in English does not make a difference.
