Surely one of the big problems with the political right in Portugal is that it is ashamed, if not afraid, of mentioning the name of Salazar - the right-wing Portuguese politician par excellence since the terms right and left were invented.
An open, unprejudiced discussion of his regime and political thinking is warranted. But this cannot be achieved so long as people are afraid to mention his name, let alone give him credit for his achievements.
