Pigs can fly

Opinião de David Smith, do Times, sobre o Euro:

The fact that the Pigs* are struggling is, in one sense, a simple reflection of the underlying problem of the euro, that the countries that joined it did not constitute an "optimal" currency area. They were not, in other words, either converged or flexible enough and have not adapted sufficiently to the challenge of living alongside Germany in a "one size fits all" currency area.

*PIGS: Portugal, Italy, Greece, Spain
