The Random Walk Theory is a typically Protestant theory. Basically, it says that no single investor or speculator, that is, no single man can ever beat the crowd, as represented by the market.
This is in my view, which is the view of a man born in a Catholic culture, partly educated in a Protestant culture, and who has been gaining an increasing appreciation for the former, the most abominable feature of Protestant culture. I mean the supremacy that Protestant culture accords to the crowd over the individual, or the state of intellectual inferiority it puts the individual as regards to the crowd.
