There is a Zoo and an Aquarium. Not much more to see in Atlanta. It is a city which has grown in importance over the last few decades. In 1960 its population was only one million, now is 4.5 million. Atlanta hosted the 1996 Olympic Games and this opportunity was taken to build or renew substantial parts of the city.
Atlanta is home to the headquarters of Coca-Cola and CNN. The World of Coca-Cola, a sort of company's museum, and the CNN center are worth visiting. Two important personalities were born and lived in Atlanta: Martin Luther King and Margaret Mitchell, the author of Gone With the Wind, until recently the most sold book in the World, second only to the Bible (lately it was surpassed by Harry Potter). There is a large black population in Atlanta which tends to live in a part of the city different from that inhabited by whites. The city is safe for travel and tourism, the only problem being that there is not that much to see.

Recently, Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport overcame Chicago's O'Hare as the busiest airport in the USA and the World. About 2 400 planes take off and land daily in Atlanta, about one every fourty seconds.
