Financial markets kept falling this week as Citigroup announced massive losses on subprime loans and tech giant Intel reported lower than expected earnings. A recession is now taken for granted and the US government is already putting up a stimulus package which might include a new wave of tax cuts.
In Portugal the recession has been going on for years and it can now only get worse. And yet, what are they doing? They are talking, just talking, no action at all to counter the economic downturn.
